I Believe, I Dream, I Do
"I believe, I dream, I do” is a unique writing program for high school children which culminates in a podcast publication.
Inspired by the American chart-topping radio series ‘This I Believe’, this workshop will have activities that will engage the children and help them confront their dearly held beliefs and their concept of values.
The sessions will facilitate introspection and discussion to enable them to craft their thoughts into a well-written essay. WORDPLAY uses several creative expressions as poetry /free writing to help the children delve deep into their inner self.
The program would be wrapped up in a podcast by each participant, which will be published on Anchor, Spotify and 6 more podcast platforms.
At the end of the session, the student will:
- Learn to explore and express and engage,not simply communicate.
- Learn the techniques of brain storming while delving into the concept of belief and exploring their own values.
- Collate their thoughts while they try to build a consensus between their beliefs and goals.
- Learn some essential writing techniques (pre-writing, during writing, post writing).
- Craft an essay worth presenting at various forums.
- Get initiated to the techniques of writing effective essays, which they can eventually use for their college admission essays.
