An environment and social impact program to build awareness about UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Why do this program?

High school and college students are often asked about their impact on the world around them. Increasingly, their work for important social causes / community services is an indicator of their effectiveness in higher education and professional life apart from their academic credentials.

Here is an opportunity to build a profile of a true “Change Maker” by working towards environment-related UN sustainable Development Goals.

“The CHANGE MAKER” capstone project takes the young adults though design thinking exercises to address community problems and create prototypes of innovative solutions.

What is the core of the program?

How do they bring about the change?

1. Immerse : Helping them to understand the context and connectedness by combining (connecting) Env science and Literature

2. Converse : Creating a safe and non-judgmental space for courageous conversation that emerges spontaneously

3. Create : Facilitating them to create art (poetry / painting / podcast) that evolves from the concern and connections established

4. Act : Giving them hands-on opportunity to bring in the Change under the mentorship of experts

Learning Objectives

Building awareness of Environmental urgency & an in-depth understanding of the related Env Sustainable Developmental Goals.
On-ground experiential learning with esteemed NGOs working on water conservation and sustainable circular economy.
Cultivating Interdisciplinary thinking.
Honing Writing and presentation skills.

Understanding the concept and context of UN SDGs in daily life
Getting hands-on immersive experience of learning by doing
Ability to think critically by building consciousness in various connected areas like environment, economy, and society
Exposure to Eco literature and Eco-conscious Conversations

Week 1 – Week 4: Once a week session on orientation to SDGs and Book review writing.

Week 5 – Week 8: Internship with the concerned Organizations.

Week 9 – Week 11: Project finalization

Week 12: Culmination program and certificates
